User & player settings
Link a player to your account, change what you are allowed to change, and find the settings that are not on this page at all.
This is where you attach a Total Battle player to your portal account, set how the portal addresses you, and change your password. It is also where people expect to fix their might or their hero level, and that is the part worth getting straight early: those figures are read-only. The portal keeps them up to date itself.
The page is at MY → User & Player Settings, and the same page is reached as My User & Player Settings from the quick-links row at the bottom of any open menu panel and from the account panel behind your name. It has two tabs — ⚙️ User Settings for you and your players, and ⚡ Game Services for tokens and automation.
What you can change about yourself
The 👤 Account Information card holds everything about you. Nothing is stored until you press Save Account Info.
| Field | What it does | Editable |
|---|---|---|
| Username | The name you sign in with. | No |
| Where account mail is sent. | No | |
| Nickname | How you are shown around the portal. | Yes |
| Default Player (for chat) | Which of your players the portal speaks as in chat features. You need at least one linked player for chat to work. | Yes |
| Country | Your country. | Yes |
| Time Zone | Times around the portal are shown in this zone alongside UTC. | Yes |
| Chat Translation Language | The language chat messages are translated into. | Yes |
| Auto-translate chat | Translate every message automatically rather than on request. | Yes |
| Default Clan | Which clan is selected when you sign in. Leave it empty and the portal picks your first clan. | Yes |
Username and email cannot be changed from this page. If either is wrong, that is a support question, not a settings question.
Setting Time Zone is worth thirty seconds of your life. The game day rolls over at 17:00 UTC, and pages that deal with event and cycle windows show you both UTC and your local time once the portal knows where you are.
Linking a player
An account with no linked player sees almost nothing: no personal figures, no Personal notification channel, no dashboard content. Linking is the first thing to do.
Ask your clan admin. They find it at Clan Management → Clan Members by clicking your player. Each player has their own code, up to 10 characters.
The button is at the top right of the page and again on the 👥 My Players card; ⚡ Quick Actions has the same thing as Register Player.
Player Name must be the exact in-game name. Clan Initials is exactly three letters. Invite Code is the code from step 1. All three must match the same player, or the form tells you it cannot find them.
Register Player. What happens next depends on your clan: some clans approve link requests automatically and the player appears straight away; others hold it for a clan admin to approve, and you get a message saying the request was submitted.
Repeat the process for each player you own. There is no limit, and players in different clans are fine — the dashboard's player switcher and the clan selector both handle that.
What you can edit on a player, and what you cannot
Click any row in 👥 My Players to open that player's panel. It has two sections, and the split is the whole point.
Levels is editable — six research levels, each a dropdown:
| Level | Range |
|---|---|
| Guardsmen | 1 to 9 |
| Specialists | 0 to 9 |
| Monsters | 0 to 9 |
| Engineers | 0 to 9 |
| Army Modernization | 0 to 5 |
| Monsters Boost | 0 to 3 |
Press Save Levels when you are done. Your Guardsmen level is not cosmetic — clan events and chest tracking cycles set different targets for each level, so an out-of-date value means you are being judged against the wrong bar.
Player Details underneath is read-only, and the panel says so: player ID, game account, active clan, might, hero level, VIP level, city level, Gold Pass, country and time zone.
Game accounts
A game account is a Total Battle login you give the portal so it can act for you — chest collection, shields, journal reading. It is separate from your portal account, and you only need one if you use those services.
Add one with + Add Account on the 🎮 Game Accounts card: a friendly Account Name, the Game Login Email, the Game Login Password, and an Active switch. Each account shows the players linked to it as badges, plus its state:
- ● Active — working.
- ⏳ Verification required — Total Battle wants a security code. Press 🔒 Verify.
- ❌ Error — the last sign-in failed. Hover the ⚠ Reset button to see why, then reset to try again.
Verification sends a 6-character code to the email address on the game account. Four things trip people up, and the panel warns about all four: the mail comes from Total Battle and not from us, it can take several minutes to arrive, it may land in spam or junk, and an old code from a previous attempt will not work — it has to be the newest mail.
The Game Services tab
⚡ Game Services covers personal automation, which is paid for in tokens rather than by your clan's subscription.
- 🤖 Automation Settings — per game account, set 🛡 Shield (UTC), 📦 Chest 1 (UTC) and 📦 Chest 2 (UTC), then tick 🛡 Shield, Auto-Buy and 📦 Chests for each player.
- 🪙 Tokens — your balance and the packages you can buy.
- 💡 What tokens cost — the current cost of a game login, an account switch, a chest grab and a shield set.
- 📜 Token History — your last 20 token movements. 🔐 Login History — your last 10 sign-ins.
Automation needs tokens. With a zero balance the panel says so and links to the packages. This is personal automation only — it is nothing to do with your clan's chest scanning, which the clan subscription covers.
Password, history and closing your account
🔐 Security shows your last sign-in, the address it came from, and how many times you have signed in. 🔒 Change Password asks for your current password, then a new one of at least 8 characters, entered twice.
Below that is ⚠️ Danger Zone, with Request Account Deletion. It opens a separate page that first shows you what would be removed — the clans you own, your subscriptions, and a count of records per data type — before you commit to anything.
That page offers two different destructive actions, and they are not alternatives to each other:
- 🗑️ Delete My Entire Account at the bottom removes your user account and every clan you own.
- Delete This Clan Only sits beside each clan you own. It keeps your portal account and permanently deletes that clan and everything in it — for every member of it, not just for you.
Both routes run through the same confirmation: you type DELETE, tick three acknowledgements, choose whether it happens after a 7-day grace period (you get a cancellation link by email and can change your mind) or immediately with no way back, and then enter a code we email you. Your chest grabber stops as soon as the deletion starts. Invoices, billing records and support ticket history are kept for legal reasons; almost everything else is not.
One difference between the two is easy to miss. Deleting the whole account cancels your subscription without a refund. Deleting a single clan does not cancel it — it keeps billing, and the clan slot it was using becomes free for a new clan.
The settings that are not here
⚡ Quick Actions in the right-hand column is the shortcut strip: Change Password, Register Player, Notifications, Discord Link, Epic Alerts and Game Services →.
- Which alerts you get and Discord linking open from here but are covered properly in Managing your notifications.
- Your dashboard layout is not a setting on this page — it lives on the dashboard itself, under Configure dashboard.
- Clan-wide settings — penalties, cycles, events, member approvals — belong to your clan admin, not to you.
Common questions
Why can I not change my might or hero level?
Because they are read from the game rather than entered by hand, and the panel marks them read-only for that reason. The six research levels — Guardsmen, Specialists, Monsters, Engineers, Army Modernization and Monsters Boost — are the only player values you can set here. If a read-only figure is out of date, ask your clan admin to have your profile read again.
I registered a player and nothing happened.
Check the message you got. If it said the request was submitted, your clan holds link requests for approval and a clan admin has to act on it. If it said the player is already registered, the player is linked to another portal account and a clan admin has to release it. If it could not find the player at all, one of the three fields is wrong — the player name has to match the in-game name exactly, and the initials are exactly three letters.
What is the difference between my portal account and a game account?
Your portal account is how you sign in here. A game account is a Total Battle login you hand to the portal so it can act on your behalf — collecting chests, setting shields, reading journals. You can use the portal with no game account at all; you will not have personal automation, and that is the only difference.
Can I change my email address or username?
Not from this page. Both are shown but not editable, so if one of them needs correcting it has to go through support. Open the floating help button in the corner of any portal page and choose Contact Support — that is the only place a new ticket can be started. The 🎫 Support Tickets channel in Notification Hub is where the reply lands afterwards; it has no button for opening one, so going there first leaves you looking at an empty list.
