๐งพ Invoices and payment
Where your invoices come from, what each status means, how paying works, what happens when a payment is late, and what to do about an invoice that looks wrong.
Your invoices live behind one button. Open MY โ Clans & Subscriptions and press ๐ View Invoices in the hero. The panel that slides out โ ๐ My Invoices โ is your complete billing history, newest first, across every clan on your subscription.
Invoices belong to the person the subscription belongs to, which is why nobody else can open them. A clan admin who is not the subscription owner has no invoice list of their own and cannot reach the owner's.
Reading the list
Four tabs filter it โ All, Pending, Paid, Overdue โ and each row shows Invoice #, Clan, Total, Status, Issued and Due. A Pending row whose due date has already gone by prints that date in red โ it is on its way to Overdue at the next nightly pass.
Invoice numbers run INV-, the year, then a number. Up to three buttons sit at the end of a row: ๐ณ Pay Now on anything still payable, View to open the PDF in a new tab, and PDF to download it โ the file is named after the invoice number, so a folder of them sorts itself.
Where an invoice comes from
There are exactly three sources, and knowing which one you are looking at explains most surprises about the amount.
| Source | When it appears | What it looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Your renewal | Overnight, when your billing period turns over. | One line for the new period. It is emailed to you as it is issued. |
| A plan change or a restart | The moment you confirm a bigger plan or reactivate. | Several lines: the rest of this period on the new plan, the next full period on the new plan โ that one is always billed โ and credit for what you already paid for the same days. Due within a week. |
| Raised by us | Rarely, and only for something agreed with you. | Whatever it says on it. |
Every line is priced with tax already included, and the tax is worked back out of the total for the PDF. The Total is therefore exactly what leaves your account โ there is nothing added at the checkout.
What each status means
| Status | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Draft | Not issued yet. You will rarely see one โ it is the state an invoice we are preparing by hand sits in before we send it. There is no ๐ณ Pay Now on it and nothing is owed. If one is sitting in your list, ask us about it. |
| Pending | Issued and waiting to be paid. Still on time. ๐ณ Pay Now works. |
| Overdue | The due date has gone by and it is still unpaid. Your service keeps running for now. ๐ณ Pay Now still works. |
| Paid | Settled. It does not matter which of the routes below did it. |
| Cancelled | Written off. Most often it was replaced by a newer invoice after a plan change. You do not owe it and there is nothing to do. |
| Refunded | Credited back by us, with the reason recorded against it. |
Paying an invoice
Card details never touch the portal. Every payment happens on the payment provider's own secure page, and we only ever see the card's brand, its last four digits and its expiry date afterwards.
Find the row and press ๐ณ Pay Now. Only Pending and Overdue rows have the button.
You are sent out of the portal to a checkout page that belongs to that one invoice. If you leave it sitting for a day it expires โ go back to the list and press ๐ณ Pay Now again for a fresh one.
You land on a confirmation page and the invoice turns Paid. Payment is the moment everything moves: your dates roll forward, any grace window clears, and a plan change you were waiting on takes effect.
To avoid doing that every period, save a card. ๐ณ Payment & Billing in the right-hand column has Add payment method, which sends you to the same kind of secure page. With a card saved and Renew automatically on, invoices that reach their due date are charged for you overnight. A receipt follows by email if email notifications are switched on for your account โ the invoice itself, the overdue notice and any payment-failed warning reach you either way. If receipts never arrive, ask us to check that setting. Any card you use at a checkout is kept for this too.
When a payment is late
Nothing stops the moment a payment fails or an invoice is missed. The sequence is deliberately gentle:
- The invoice is marked Overdue the following night and a grace window opens.
- Through that whole window your subscription stays active and chest collecting keeps running.
- If you have a card saved and Renew automatically is on, it is retried every night โ there is no limit on attempts. You get one payment-failed email when the trouble starts, not one per attempt. With auto-renewal switched off nothing is retried, saved card or not: the invoice waits for you to pay it by hand.
- If the window closes with the invoice still unpaid, the subscription ends: collecting stops, the clan slots are released, and an unpaid upgrade drops back to the plan you last paid for. The invoice is written off rather than chased.
Your clans and everything already collected survive all of that untouched. Paying or picking a plan again restarts the service.
Tax, and the details printed on the PDF
Two different things are easy to confuse here. The tax rate on your invoices comes from the Country on your account, which is set under MY โ User & Player Settings. The name, address, country and VAT number in the Billing Information section of ๐ณ Payment & Billing are printed on the PDF and nothing else.
When an invoice looks wrong
Support is the route for all of these; there is no self-service correction. Open the floating help button in the corner of any portal page and choose Contact Support, quoting the invoice number.
- An old Overdue invoice on a subscription that already ended. Do not pay it. It covers a period that has been and gone, and paying it buys you nothing. Ask us to clear it.
- An amount you do not recognise. Open the PDF first โ a plan change splits into part-period and credit lines, which looks nothing like a plain renewal.
- Charged twice, or charged after cancelling. Send us the invoice numbers. Refunds are made from our end and show up as Refunded in your list.
- Wrong company details on the PDF. Fix them yourself in Billing Information for future invoices, and ask us if an already-issued one needs reissuing.
Common questions
Where do I enter my card details?
Nowhere in the portal โ that is by design. Both ๐ณ Pay Now and Add payment method send you out to the payment provider's own secure page, and what comes back to us is the card brand, the last four digits and the expiry date. That is all the ๐ณ Payment & Billing panel can show you, and all we have.
I turned auto-renewal off, so why did I get an invoice?
Because the two are separate. An active paid subscription is invoiced when its period ends, whatever the auto-renewal switch says. All that switch decides is whether your saved card is charged for you: with it on, the invoice is paid overnight; with it off, the invoice still arrives and you pay it by hand with ๐ณ Pay Now. If what you wanted was to stop the subscription, that is Cancel subscription in the โ ๏ธ Danger Zone instead.
Why does this invoice have four lines on it?
Because it is a plan change rather than a renewal. Moving to a bigger plan bills the rest of the current period on the new plan, always bills the next full period on it as well, and credits back what you had already paid for the same days. The credit lines are the ones that come and go, which is why two plan-change invoices rarely look alike. The credits can never take the invoice below zero, and if they cover the whole change there is nothing to pay at all โ the portal tells you so with Already covered by your previous payment โ no extra charge.
Can my clan admin pay my invoice for me?
No. Invoices belong to the account the subscription is on, and nobody else can open one โ not the clan admins, not the other members. If somebody else in your clan is going to be paying, the cleanest arrangement is for them to hold the subscription: they buy the plan on their own account, and the clan sits in one of their clan slots. Contact support before you rearrange anything, so the clan ends up on the right subscription rather than on a second one.
